The Master in TEC-CH is for students with a degree in Humanities and Cultural Heritage. It is a great opportunity to acquire the knowledge and the operative skills for the design and development of cultural communication mediated by new technologies. TEC-CH bases the excellence of its curriculum on a combination of technological methods and theories of communication. An internship at cultural institutions and a thesis at the end of the programme complete the curriculum providing real-life experience and autonomous work.

What are the courses of the Master programme about? The curriculum of TEC-CH has an interdisciplinary orientation and covers the following main fields: Communications (foundation and application), Technology, Organisation and Design, as applied to the cultural heritage projects. The courses will be held by leading lecturers from the University of Lugano, with the addition of guest-lecturers of international reputation. What is the aim of the internships, and where will these be? The aim of the internship is to enable students to face real-life problems of institutions that are active in the field, and to learn about practical aspects of the communication work. Numerous prestigious institutions have already agreed to consider our students as favourite candidates for their internal programme.

The University of Lugano (Universita della Svizzera italiana-USI) was founded in 1996. As a public institution independent of state control, it joined the nine cantonal universities and two federal institutes of technology that form the Swiss university system. It distinguishes itself as the only university outside Italy where the official language of teaching is Italian and English. Today, USI comprises four Faculties: Economics, Communication Sciences and Informatics in Lugano, and Architecture in Mendrisio, for a total student population of approximately 2500 from 40 different countries, and a total teaching staff of 619 professors and assistants.
