Highlights:
What's Different About Our College * Student-centered: learning students are at the center of the learning process at ACAP. Students play an integral part in the learning process and the student-educator relationship is one of mutual respect. This contributes to a community of learning where all students are empowered to develop personally and professionally. * Small class sizes: there are never more than 18 students in each class, the average is 12. This means you are not competing with hundreds of students to achieve your learning goals. You receive individual attention and support through your study. * Experiential hands-on learning: there are no lectures at ACAP. Time spent in the classroom is interactive and stimulating with a focus on gaining understanding and developing your skills. * Teachers from the real world: ACAP's educators are all practitioners in their own fields as well as being experienced and highly qualified teachers. They provide students with lots of real life examples from their own work. * Assessments: students undertake assignments and projects throughout their course at ACAP instead of examinations. Assessments are designed to develop understanding of theories and enhance skills. * Fieldwork Experience: ACAP provides opportunities for students to work in a variety of areas to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience. Almost half of all students undertaking fieldwork are offered employment by the fieldwork placement organization within which they have chosen to undertake their experience.
