While undertaking full time study, students are allowed according to UK immigration law to work part time during the term. Kingston offers many employment options as it has hundreds of shops and restaurants suitable for part time work. After graduation, students are able to apply to stay in the UK for up to 2 years to work full time. This means that students are able to compliment an international degree abroad with international work experience.
Highlights:
Students undertaking their undergraduate degree at Kingston University are met at the airport by staff and brought to the university halls of residence a full two weeks before the start of classes in order to adjust to the new culture and university. The first week is the "Welcome Week" and students get the chance to meet other international and American students at Kingston. Students are orientated into the university systems and policies as well as orientated to Kingston and London.
