Associate Degree in Hospitality Management
Australia
Description:
The Associate Degree in Hospitality Management at William Blue School of Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure Management is a 2-year higher education qualification leading into a Bachelor of Business (Tourism & Hospitality). The Associate Degree in Hospitality Management teaches you a broad range of practical and hospitality management skills. This is similar to our Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management, but from a different perspective. The main difference between this course and the Advanced Diploma is that you'll be approaching your studies in a broader context. Hospitality management subjects are introduced early in the program and run alongside the practical components throughout the two years. The Associate Degree also contains a practicum and well as 800 hours of paid industry placement. This gives you direct access to specific industry-based people and information - another way to learn on the job while you're studying. The second year builds on this and prepares you for progression to the Bachelor degree. You will take all your hospitality management subjects to a higher level and do a full semester of paid industry training a minimum of 800 hours. This allows you to put everything you've learnt into practice - and get paid for it. If you decide to graduate after successfully completing the Advanced Diploma, you'll be ready to work in a supervisory role. On completion of the Associate Degree, you have the opportunity to continue onto complete the Bachelor of Business (Tourism & Hospitality) awarded by La Trobe University (delivered at William Blue).
