Description:
- Teaching in local schools for young boys and girls (English, basic health, and vocational training is needed) - Working with teachers to organize classroom events - Conducting after school programs for children including games and sports activities. - Organizing women's community projects. - Working with tribal and village communities to help with development projects. Highlights:
Volunteers: We are a grass-roots organization that is 100% committed to our volunteers and community members. All are equal in our eyes and we want our volunteers to enjoy and experience the Indian Culture while they spend time with us here in Southern India. We often take local tours to temples, beaches, religious centers, and historical sites to help broaden their understanding of the Indian Culture and its heritage. Degrees Abroad: There are several options available for studying in India included: * Guided Research projects * Degree in Yoga Therapy * Degree in Yoga Psychology * And service learning certificate All degrees and certificates are valid documents recognized by the Government of India.
Qualifications:
Volunteer Work: Our basic qualifications is a desire to work with women and children who are in lower class communities. This means that volunteer must be socially and culturally adaptive to new environments. If you have a degree in a specific field such as social work or human resource management we would like to know this information which will allow us to place you in an environment where your skills and abilities can be practically applied to help encourage development of a specific resource. Volunteers who have masters degrees or doctorates will have the opportunity to work with local Colleges and Universities if they desire. Degree Abroad: The degrees available will vary depending upon what the student wishes to study and the level of education they have completed prior to visiting India.
