A two year inter-disciplinary MA-Programme combining political science, economics, law, history, linguistics and cultural studies. The integrated programme binds together the study of two main regions - Europe and Russia - in one coherent curriculum, providing a comprehensive understanding of political, social, and economic developments in the EU and its member states as well as in Russia and its neighboring transition countries. Curriculum structure: - Introductory module (24 ECTS) builds a strong theoretical basis for understanding different disciplines combined in the programme and also trains the student's academic writing skills and introduces research methods. - General module (24 ECTS) provides comprehensive approaches on the general developments in the regions: European Union, Eastern Europe, Russia. - Specialization modules: (24 ECTS) analyses thoroughly developments in one of the regions: 1. European Union studies module (24 ECTS) is designed for those students who decide to focus their studies and research on EU related topics. It aims at analyzing the structure and policies of the EU. 2. Russian studies module (24 ECTS) is designed for those students who decide to concentrate in their studies and research on Russia related topics. It aims at analyzing the realities and policies of the Russian Federation. - Language module (12 ECTS) provides the knowledge of foreign language needed for the chosen field of future professional activities. - Elective courses module (6 ECTS) - Master's thesis (30 ECTS) Total 120 ECTS Language of instruction: English Program duration: 2 years: three semesters of study, one semester of Master's thesis writing.
