The Akademia
Description:
The Akademia is an exclusive four-year university that allows very gifted students to prosper and mature into the future leaders of the world. Each year, 250 students per school are admitted into the program, worldwide. What truly sets The Akademia apart from other universities is its focus on developing and nurturing the unique personal vision of each student. Through its four-cornerstone program (Imaginative Studies, Intellectual Studies, Physical Studies, Health & Nutrition Studies) students are given the opportunity to create their vision while developing the integrative skill sets required to make it real. There are many reasons to consider The Akademia, but perhaps the most important ones are the opportunities to: 1. Receive a superior academic education 2. Earn your black belt in the martial arts 3. Travel overseas and experience different cultures 4. Create your own destiny The Akademia is not for the typical student seeking a conventional career path, but for those of exceptional leadership, character, motivation and creativity who possess the ambition to realize their true potential.
Highlights:
What legacy do you wish to leave to this world? Some people go their entire life without ever pondering this question. Others wait too long, to the point where they no longer see possibilities - only limitations. The Akademia takes a unique approach to understanding and nurturing the true nature and vision of each student. General requirements for admission: 1. A completed application Link 2. A weighted grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Transcript may be requested. 3. SAT score of 1000 or higher (math and verbal). ACT or international equivalent acceptable. Although high school grade point average and standardized test scores are important indicators of academic achievement used in admissions review, other information in the application and essay will be factored into admissions, including evidence of leadership, character, motivation and creativity. The final cut-off for admissions is July 1st. The annual tuition fee of $35,000 covers residence, food service, courses & materials, visa procurement, nutritional supplements, health club & lounge memberships, uniforms and other necessary supplies for the 1st and 2nd semesters. The annual tuition fee must be paid in full by the admissions cut-off date in order to ensure placement at The Akademia and to enable database set-up, pre-semester counseling, visa procurement and the ordering of all necessary supplies.
