Program Overview: Concordia University, located in Southern California, is offering a Master of Arts in International Studies (MAIS) degree with concentrations in International Business and International Education alongside a 10/12-month teaching contract in the Peoples Republic of China in Shanghai and Hangzhou. Highlights:
With our program, there is very little waiting to experience life and work in China. After a summer of intensive courses at our Irvine campus, you head overseas and immediately start living, working, and studying in China, perhaps in some of the ways you've always imagined. What will your life be like in China? The MAIS program will prepare you to teach Chinese children and young adults about the English language, conduct research for your capstone project, complete online courses with professors in Irvine, and negotiate living on your own in a new culture. You will concentrate in either International Business or International Education, and live in such cities as Shanghai and Hangzhou, which are among China¹s most important historical, cultural and financial centers.
