In response to the high level of skill and professionalism required to perform the activities of peacebuilding, this Master's course provides advanced training to those who intend to work (either professionally or voluntarily) in the field of international humanitarian cooperation, particularly in the context of international operations, along the continuum from conflict prevention to institution building. International careers in this field are particularly competitive and difficult to undertake. Combining academic study with a hands-on operational approach, the Master's offers participants a course of study at the end of which they will be able to present themselves as being highly qualified academically and will possess practical experience, which will give them ready access to the world of international cooperation in the field of peace building. Following the Master's course students will be eminently suitable for careers with international organizations, both governmental and non-governmental, in public administrations and local bodies active in the area of international cooperation and solidarity at regional, provincial and communal levels.
Highlights:
After completing the instructional phase of the Master's and successfully passing final examinations, each participant is required to complete a period of professional internship of at least 12 weeks with an international organization or NGO.
