Description:
The Centre for European Studies welcomes international students for MA degrees offering the opportunity to observe and study the rapidly changing European Union and Cenral and Eastern European region from a unique vantage point. The MA in European Studies is a high-level postgraduate course taught in English by experts in their fields. Students complete 120 ECTS points in up to four semesters - students willing to study intensively may also complete the programme in approximately a year. Its goal is to provide graduate students with interdisciplinary knowledge, expertise and experience in European affairs from one of two viewpoints for which we are ideally placed. Students may opt for one of two closely related study tracks: European Studies - This track focuses on the EU and European institutions and the key issues facing the them, and students develop a Central European perspective on the European integration process. Central and Eastern European Studies - Students following this track focus on the history, experiences and culture of Poland and its neighbors in Central Europe and to the East, in the countries of the former Soviet Union and its satellites.
Highlights:
This is an interdisciplinary programme and students come from a wide range of backgrounds and study various subjects, concluding with an MA dissertation of their choice. Intensive language programmes and MA/Academic Skills seminars are also part of the programme. CES offers excellent study facilities and student services, and organises study trips around the region.
