Description: The Spanish Ministry of Education and Sciences named Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) as the National Center of Excellence for research in the area of logistics and supply chain management in the year 2006. This recognition puts ZLC in the leading role to define and coordinate the research, development and innovation initiatives across Spain.

In accordance with its objectives, the Foundation through this scholarship aims to grant an opportunity to take part in the ZLOG Program to one highly-qualified Spanish candidate whose only barrier against success is of financial nature.

The scholarship provides full tuition for the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program, which amounts to EUR21,500 to a Spanish student of the academic year 2010-2011.

Candidates will be expected to show an extraordinary interest in pursing a career in Logistics and a special need for additional financial aid.

Furthermore, to be eligible candidates must comply with the following criteria:

- Granted admission to the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program.
- Spanish citizenship.
- Fluency in English, competitive TOEFL score. Exceptions may be granted to individuals who have demonstrated evidence of advanced verbal and written proficiency in the English language.
- Completion of a four year undergraduate program equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree.      
- Competitive GMAT score. Exceptions may be granted to individuals who have demonstrated strong academic achievement in completing a college degree - including some quantitative training - and evidence of advanced verbal and written proficiency in the English language.
- Professional excellence in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or exceptional academic achievement.

Candidates must fulfill all of the above-mentioned requirements and submit one original copy of the following documents to the ZLC Financial Aid Office:

Each scholarship applicant will fill out the scholarship application form including the following: an essay stating their interests, qualifications, and related experience; a statement describing their economical situation and explaining their reasons for applying for the scholarship.

2. Income Statement
Copy of employment contact, last pay slip or other official document that can account for the last salary received. (Not applicable for applicants who are currently full-time students).

3. Copy of Passport

Copy of the admissions letter to the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program.

Highlights: The MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) requires nine months of full time study in English, beginning in late August and concluding with commencement the following May.

ZLOG builds upon the successful curriculum at MIT, which is consistently ranked first in the area of logistics and supply chain management. Students must complete core and elective coursework, a master's thesis, and participate in the International Exchange. Graduates receive a master's degree from the University of Zaragoza and a certificate from the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program.

Each year, a select group of students from around the globe are chosen to join the academic-industrial setting of the Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC). The admissions process ensures that the individuals invited into the Master's (ZLOG) and PhD programs are well-prepared for intensive studies in logistics and supply chain management and positioned for success upon graduation.

Diversity in the student body is an important characteristic of the ZLC programs. While applicants are expected to have an aptitude for analytical thinking, a previous degree in engineering is not required. Work experience from a variety of operational and management responsibilities provides a valuable background for the ZLOG program. However, we do welcome exceptional students with little or no work experience. We invite applicants from a wide range of backgrounds.

Scholarships available for the academic year 2010-2011: ZLOG Eastern and Central Europe Scholarship Eligibility: Nationals from the following Eastern and Central European countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Coverage: Full tuition Deadline: April 15th 2010 ZLOG African Health and Humanitarian Systems Scholarship Eligibility: Although open to all individuals of any race, religion and ethnicity, preference will be given to applicants who are African nationals. Coverage: Full tuition Deadline: April 15th 2010 Scholarship holders must make a contractual commitment to work for a well-established and reputed organization in Africa in the area of health-care logistics, health-systems, health policy, drug procurement and distribution, humanitarian logistics, disaster relief logistics, etc. for a period of at least two years upon graduation of the ZLOG - Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program. ZLOG Scholarships - Supporting Promising Professionals in Logistics and SCM Eligibility: Students of any race, religion and ethnicity by which it is open to all individuals admitted in the ZLOG Program Coverage: Reductions in tuition: 25% (EUR5,375), 50% (EUR10,750) and 100% (EUR21,500) Deadline: We review applications in two rounds: April 15th 2010 and May 31st 2010. ZLOG Dual Degree Scholarships Eligibility: Students of a ZLOG Dual Degree Master's Program. Furthermore, FUNED grants a "credit-scholarship" covering up to 40% of the total cost of the ZLOG Program, not to exceed 20,000 USD. The amount provided to the scholarship holder will be based on the results of FUNED's financial needs evaluation of the student, his or her repayment capability, and a personal interview. Finally, Lumni will support the candidate with an additional funding for up to 150,000 MXP (for Mexican students only) in return of a percentage of the students income during a fixed time period.
