Description: Biomedicine is a rapidly developing science. Thanks to new multidisciplinary research approaches that integrate knowledge from medical, biological, chemical, technical and social sciences, the process of knowledge growth will continue and accelerate in the near future.

This programme has a distinct research preparative profile. Individual study plans and flexibility in the choice of courses also render a profile that promotes employability.

The aim of the programme is to provide students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in biomedicine that they need for independent and professional activities in clinical and research settings in universities, health care and industry, both nationally and internationally.

The programme's modules give in-depth theoretical knowledge and specific laboratory or methodological skills. Special emphasis will be placed on the principles of scientific reasoning and logic, ethical attitude, multidisciplinary collaborations and preparing students for an independent and professional future in the field of biomedicine.

In order to stimulate cross-disciplinary collaboration, students will work in small, cohesive groups that stimulate networking between students with different educational backgrounds.

The instructional method, problem-based learning (PBL), encourages curiosity and promotes life-long learning and provides tools for functioning in a rapidly developing world.

* Specific requirements:

A bachelor's degree with a major in medicine, technical/natural sciences, odontology, veterinary medicine or pharmaceutical science.

Each applicant must enclose a Letter of Intent written in English, explaining why they want to study this programme, and a summary of their degree thesis or project. If applicants hold a degree that does not include a degree thesis or project, their Letter of Intent should describe previous studies and any academic activities that are related to the master's programme or the programmes applied for.
