Description: Yasar University is a private university, located on the West coast of Turkey, in Izmir. Industrial Engineering, as a discipline emerging from this point of view, contributes to production systems using analytical problem solving techniques, information technologies, and certain social sciences. In the frame of these references, Industrial Engineerings scope of research and education is increasing quality and productivity by using scarce resources effectively. So, it provides opportunities for good positions in manufacturing industries, health services, communication, food sector, education, logistics, banks, consulting firms, public firms, even planning parts of social projects.

From this point of view, the Industrial Engineering Department not only provides basic engineering knowledge but also equips students with information technologies and English skills. Through industrial training, small projects in various courses, and the graduation project, our department presents flexibility for students to concentrate on the special areas they are willing to study. Our curriculum is focused on Information Systems Engineering, Production Engineering and Operations Research.

In addition to the computer and simulation laboratories, our department recently established the Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) Laboratory and the Ergonomics Laboratory. Our students have the opportunity to develop their practical skills through the individual use of laboratory equipment. By the end of the undergraduate program, students are equipped with the knowledge and ability to start a promising career in the industry or to pursue graduate studies.
