Description: Yasar University is a private university, located on the West coast of Turkey, in Izmir. It is a young university formally established in 2001 by one of Turkey's leading industry group, the Yasar Holding. Yasar University with its high-calibre teaching and strong collaboration with industry and commerce is willing to provide graduates, capable of operating in an international context.

This department aims to give students the ability to create designs where the physical spaces provided, users can be comfortably, aesthetically and functionally accommodated. Students are taught how the physical and psychological quality of spaces can be improved.

Education in interior design also aims to achieve the following: to develop creative thinking capacities of the students, to be able to express these easily on paper by drawings, to be able to bring together economic, technical, visual, and functional factors in designs having different scales, and finally, to be able to produce and manipulate high quality computer aided designs.

Educational program enables students to solve technical details while achieving the most rational use of interior spaces. Studio work, devoted to project design, forms the core of this education and is supported by lectures such as history of art and architecture, construction technology and engineering. Students are supported by visual materials in lectures and site visits in order to give them a better grasp of contemporary building materials, building techniques, examples, etc.

Graduates will earn the title of "interior architect" at the end of four years and the education is in English in this department as it is in all departments. Through the interior design education, emphasis is also given to computer-aided design and thus, the students are prepared for real-life experience after their graduation.
