The "Master in Advanced European and International Studies" is organised by the "Institut europeen des hautes etudes internationales" in Nice (France) in cooperation with Istanbul Bilgi University in Istanbul (Turkey). It is targeted at students who have completed their undergraduate studies. The postgraduate programme has a strong international focus: It takes place in three different countries (Turkey, France, and Germany), and each year up to 20 different nationalities are represented among the students! Subject Areas: International Relations, European Integration, Economy and Globalisation, Federalism and Governance. Teaching language is English. The first term takes place in Istanbul, the second in Nice, and the last one in Berlin, including a study trip to the European and international institutions in Strasbourg, Brussels and Geneva. The academic year is concluded in June/July in Berlin with the draft of the Master thesis and the oral exams. The programme is taught by academics from various European countries, as well as experts from research institutions and international organisations, high-ranking civil servants, and diplomats. Students thus get insight into the daily work pattern of these practitioners. At the same time a lot of emphasis is put on student's individual research.
