Master of European Business
Belgium
Description:
Academic studies in Brussels The Master of European Business is an English-taught Advanced Master program organized by Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel (HUB). It offers hands-on training in various aspects of European policy and integration relevant to business. This is what makes the MEB unique. It is not about EU institutions or policies only, nor is it a set of courses which exclusively deal with companies operating on the single market. It focuses on the mutual relations between European policy and business life and on Europe's position as both a political actor and an economic force. The Master of European Business can be described as an interdisciplinary study program, focusing on European business and economics, European politics and European law.
Highlights:
In-company projects The in-company projects are offered to participants of both the full-time and part-time MEB program. It is an alternative to the traditional, research-based MA thesis. The in-company project is a scientifically underpinned practice-oriented assignment, research project or case study carried out by the student and commissioned by a company, a public body, an association, a professional federation or a non-profit organisation. An in-company project is very much focused on output and practice, requiring you to be actively involved. HUB offers in-company projects, but you can look for your own project within the company you are working for. Previous project titles include: * Cross-border healthcare services: the need for a legal framework from the healthcare providers perspective" (in cooperation with the European Parliament) * Entrepreneurship in Latvia (in cooperation with the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Latvia to the EU) * The European Parliament and the council in the conciliation procedure of the third railway package: characteristics & consequences of Liberalization. (in cooperation with the European Parliament) EU business week: The specialization module also includes the EU business week, offering you the possibility to visit a number of leading EU institutions in Brussels and Luxembourg. The EU business week not only contains a number of field trips, but also a series of lectures and seminars. As such, you gain hands-on knowledge and understanding of EU institutions and decision-making processes by visiting the European Parliament, the European Commission, the Committee of the Regions, the European Economics and Social Committee, the European Investment Bank, the European Court of Justice ...
