Placement services included in the total cost are available only to candidates registering for the program through WISH Canada Recruit Inc. or authorized agents of WISH. Registration process International candidates: Please send us your resume, the completed application form, a copy of the college or University/College transcript (English version) and a copy of your valid passport. If the original transcript is not in English, the student must get and send to WISH a certified English translation. After reviewing the documents, WISH will set up a time and a date for a phone interview in order to evaluate the English level, review expectations and discuss the student's future plans upon the completion of the program. After the interview, a report showing either "pass", "pass under conditions" or "refused" will be issued. Once the "pass" report result is issued, an invoice will be sent out, and the partial program payment should be made before the Letter of Acceptance is sent out to the applicant. Payment: If a candidate applies through an authorized agent of WISH, he/she should follow the agent's guideline regarding to the terms of the payment. If a candidate applies directly to WISH, we can forward the application to WISH's partner in their home country to provide the candidate required assistance. If a candidate prefers to register directly to WISH and do all the necessary arrangements themselves, WISH will send an invoice directly to the candidate. The candidate will need to go through the visa process, book flight tickets and be in touch directly with WISH. The payment can be made via wire transfer or credit card. 50% of the total program cost is payable when accepted and invoiced, and the other 50% is payable upon the approval of the study permit or a visa by Canada Immigration in the candidate's home country or the nearest visa office. Please do not ask WISH to send an acceptance letter without a 50% payment. We cannot accept Bank drafts. Visa: We ask that international candidates and their agencies look after the visa applications and other travel documents needed to come to Canada. It will be their duty to review the cic.gc.ca site, local embassy and market specific information from the official immigration site and understand type of documents and how to prepare supporting documents required. The visa process and requirements vary depending on the country of origin. If a candidate is in the US and completing J-1 program, he/she can visit the local Canadian Consulate and apply within the US. Please give WISH a minimum of 8 weeks for the process and apply at least 12 weeks before the expected start date. Proof of funds: When a candidate applies for a Canadian visa, he/she will need to show enough funds to cover the cost of living and the study and work period in Canada. Canada Immigration is trying to ensure that a student is not going to have financial difficulties in Canada. Before a candidate wires the payment to WISH, we ask to make sure that there is a Proof of Funds obtained from a bank so that a bank account clearly indicates that a student has adequate funds. The applicant should provide to the Canadian embassy with a proof of funds to cover all of the costs including transportation, tuition, living costs and any incidental costs while living in Canada; the embassy will not take into consideration any future income. For specific requirements, please refer to the visa regulations in the Canadian embassy where the application for the study permit will be to be submitted. Accommodation costs: Airport personal pickup + 4 weeks homestay cost CAD 1000. The homestay placement includes a personal airport pick up and drop off to the homestay plus 3 meals per day, a private room and shared bathroom (the price includes 1st 4 weeks of accommodation). Any additional week of accommodation costs around CAD 175 per week. Other accommodation options might be available. Work Permit: WISH will help a student to apply for a Work Permit within Canada. This Process requires a work permit support letter from the Campus Director. The Director in charge will review the student's attendance record to make sure that the student has been attending the required classes. Once approved by the director, the letter is issued to WISH to assist the student to obtain a work permit; this is also mailed to WISH office. Cancellation: After registering and proceeding with the payment, if the visa to enter Canada is refused, please send to WISH the refusal letter from the consulate or visa office. We will return all amounts paid except the 500 USD fee for the registration and administrative procedures performed. Refunds will be received within 4 to 8 weeks. After the visa issuance, student's arrival, attending the college and the student decides to cancel the program we will follow the college refund policy, according its policy and guideline.
