Description:
Study Scandinavian Furniture Design at the School of Design, Linnaeus University. This is an international one semester course in Furniture Design right in the center of the Swedish "Furniture district". It is taught entirely in English and students come from all over the world. The school has well-equipped workshops for wood, metal, plastic and glass. Computer lab, photo studio, colour lab etc are available on campus. Students have access to buildings and workshops around the clock. We are situated in the calm and beautiful surroundings of the small town Nybro, right in the center of the Swedish furniture industry. There are direct trains to Copenhagen airport Kastrup (Denmark). The course is tuition free but there is a materials fee and a fee for study tours. The application deadline is April 15th. The Linnaeus University formed January 2010 by the merge between the two universities in Kalmar and Vaxjo. Linnaeus University has about 30,000 students. The School of Design is situated in Nybro and there is a branch in Vaxjo. Please feel free to contact us for more info.

The Linnaeus University was formed in January 2010 by merging the two universities in Kalmar and in Växjö. The university has about 30.000 students and the School of Design has about 300.
